That was very much a last-minute thing as in literally on the day and I think Shida realised that TK didn't see her as anything more than a transitional champion. She's still above most of the other women in the division, but she is barely given any time (most women's matches are barely 8mins), and when it's just a meaningless match after a meaningless match with no long-term angles or stories which you know you can work towards, it's hard to be motivated. Consider the sort of presentation the likes of Julia Hart got before her match with Statlander. Consider the video packages and promos Storm got. Now look at Shida. Nothing. Besides, it isn't as if she's not giving a damn about her matches, but no need to overdeliver when your opponent can't keep up with you or you know that even if you were to put on a stone-cold classic, the boss isn't going to care because he doesn't see you as the one. Again, I can't read Shida's mind, but she's been given nothing and that has to be frustrating for her.
