>[STARDOM] Momo Watanabe has mixed feelings about her double title match against Saya Kamitani: "I have to show that I'm better."
>Momo Watanabe (25), a member of the women's professional wrestling group Stardom, revealed her mixed feelings ahead of her double title match against World & STRONG Women's Champion Saya Kamitani (28) (November 3rd, Ota Ward General Gymnasium).
>The two were annoyed that no preliminary matches were scheduled, and have been making repeated mistakes since the Shizuoka tournament on the 26th. Watanabe smiled fearlessly and said, "The company is at fault for not arranging a preliminary match. However, Kamitani has gotten stronger since we last fought. But I am obviously stronger, having won the 5STAR tournament, which the group's top champion was unable to win."
>Kamitani is a junior who challenged her in her debut match, and they also worked together during their time at Queen's Quest (QQ). In February 2023, she challenged Kamitani, who was the Wonder champion at the time, and broke her record for most title defenses. Watanabe said, "Kamitani always surpasses me. When I was in QQ, I teamed up with AZM to challenge Hayashishita Utami and the Goddess title that Kamitani held, and I lost, and she also surpassed my record for most title defenses at Wonder. Kamitani also won the Strong Women's title in one go, which I couldn't win last year. Honestly, it's just frustrating. I have to crush Kamitani, who now holds two titles, and show her that I'm better." She showed her senior spirit.
