I love Iyo. She's one of my favorite women on the roster, but I hope a lot of you guys feel silly now. I saw so many angry meltdowns over Lyra beating Iyo in the semifinals. Even though Iyo still looked strong in the match, and even though it was clearly designed to look like a shocking victory for Lyra to pull out ahead despite being booked incredibly strongly in NXT UK and NXT since 2020, and even though they obviously still had a storyline in mind for Iyo as evidenced by her promo right after the match and her backstage segment last week, I still saw people throwing fits.
I saw people attacking both Lyra and Becky. The Becky thing makes no sense whatsoever because she wasn't involved at all, other than in someone's deranged headcanon where Becky has been the one pulling the strings for Lyra, apparently for years because she had an Asuka-like undefeated streak in NXT UK. But in any case, Iyo loses one single match, and you acted like Paul hates her now, even though he made her one of the top women in NXT and on the main roster, he's now decided she's a jobber and that's all she'll ever be from now on. I really hope you feel stupid now.
The bottom line is, I love Iyo, and I love Lyra, and I'm very excited about their rematch, and if you like one more than the other, you should really just chill out and enjoy the show.
