Yard tardings come a LOOONG way from the days of scrapping around with your buddies imitating what you saw on TV, to purchasing belts, rings, wrestling gear and putting on actual shows and even weekly shows and making a little bit of money. It's more or less a bastard child of wrestling and anyone who is serious about getting into the industry needs to go and seek out a school owned by a legitimate teacher, but more and more wrestlers actually sstarted in backyard wrestling. Moxley, Foley, the Hardy's, the Bucks.
It's all just wrassling at the end of the day and if for a few hours you get to see a cheap show put on, you can have a good time.
