>>16314735>>16314749I think it had to do with the Max Heart Tournament since it takes place during the same time that the loser would be under their new gimmick and that new gimmick makes them weaker in kayfabe and Koda probably wanted them at full power especially when they made it to the finals. They only did the name change 2 times.
