>>10189327Colby wakes up on the couch in a state of mild confusion and thinks back fondly on the past night. With no particular obligations, Colby takes her time in getting ready to go about her day. She's thinking about her future in the WWA, and also about Amy, and how for the first time in quite a while, she was able to let her guard down and talk freely with another like-minded person about the things that interested her most.
For some reason, Colby hasn't had many close friends, true friends, in her life. There were none to speak of right now - a few acquaintances from college who'd pick up if she called or texted. And there was Red Hands, though Red Hands was truly an odd person and kept her own secrets, and Colby didn't know her well.
And now Amy.
When Colby finds the note beneath her phone, she reads it with an odd warmth and excitement. She puts Amy's number into her phone right away, but doesn't call her yet. Instead, she goes about her day, training and performing errands, every so often she takes the note out and reads it again, just to experience that warm feeling again.
