If you want to stretch to they have same gimmick of being a delusional, arrogant celebrity status wrestler, it’s not like that’s an original gimmick either. That shit goes back to the dawn of TV wrestling. The Rock may have done it better than anyone else, but it was not original when he was doing it either.
His promo is more of a Stunning/Superstar Steve Austin rip-off than anything (from the promo to the mannerisms) with a little bit RVD in there in the way he directs the crowd to say his name.
