The fact of the matter is WWE has nearly doubled their live attendance since Triple H took over, ratings have gradually been increasing since 2020, and there's a buzz around the company that they haven't had in a long time. Meanwhile in that same timespan AEW's ratings and attendance keep decreasing with no end in sight. Tony failed to capitalize on almost every "game changing" signing he's brought in. Vince leaving the WWE meant that they couldn't promote themselves as "the cool alternative to the evil empire led by Vince" anymore, since the fans actually like and respect Triple H. Again, Vince leaving WWE was the worst thing to happen to AEW, because they can't rely on their shit smelling slightly better than WWE's shit anymore.
