Julia: "Did they come to the inaugural match?"
Goto: "Yes! They did."
Julia: "(As if calling out to someone in the back of the kitchen) I'm sure you were really moved when you experienced the atmosphere of that venue."
Dad: "It was a completely different world even before the match. I was so nervous from the moment the countdown started."
Goto: "We took loads of photos. I felt like I was doing a great job of showing my parents how much they enjoyed themselves. My mom bought me loads of merchandise too (laughs). I think they're my biggest fan."
--Joining Marigold was such a big decision that you had to tell your parents about it. How was it actually like joining?
Goto: "The first thing I found difficult was the practice. I was panting from the very first day. I'm not saying that the nearly three years of training I've had up until now has been in vain, but it feels ten times different. Even basic mat exercises are completely different. Julia kept telling me what to do."
Julia: "It was when I was doing a Lucha fall, right?"
Goto: "She told me that it was different, but I felt like I couldn't stand up..." I felt anxious, or more like worried. She taught me carefully, even with the lock-up, but... I really feel like I'm starting from zero. As a professional wrestler right now. I'm really at zero."
Julia: "You're doing your best, you know."
Goto: "Sometimes I think, like, 'What do I want to be in the future?' Sometimes I ask myself, like, 'Why do I have to do such hard training?'"
Julia: "There are times like that."
Goto: "But when I stand in the ring, it's amazing... Oh, I'll cry. I'm sorry."
Julia: "Do you cry?"
Goto: "I can't. I get so emotional when I talk."
Julia: "At the time of my inaugural match, I went into the dressing room saying 'Good morning' and Gotchika was there. He saw my face and said, 'Oh no, when I see Julia's face I'm going to cry...!' and she really started crying."
