He was not though a very good technical wrestler but he didn't need to be. With his size, he didn't have to do the stuff that smaller guys like Savage, Hart, and Steamboat did. Those other guys ouldn't do what Hogan did due to their limitations. Also as the money maker and draw of the WWF, it was smart of Hogan not to do stupid stuff and risk injury.
