Its obscured by the covid period, but WWE attendances started rising when they cut back on house shows at the start of 2020. They are selling more tickets for individual shows because they are running less shows in each major market.
They ran Atlanta once in 2023 drawing 11,406. They ran Atlanta twice in 2016 drawing 8029 and 10,800. The combined attendance of 18,029 is bigger.
They ran Detroit once in 2023 drawing 11777. In 2016 they ran Detroit twice, drawing 10400 and 11588. The combined attendance of 21988 is bigger.
They ran Dallas once in 2023 drawing 11726. In 2015 they ran no less than 3 TV tapings in Dallas, drawing 12,000, 9,000 and 10,500 in January, April and October. The combined attendance of 31500 is vastly bigger.
Overall demand is way down without Cena, but it is hidden because ticket demand is spread across less shows. The notion that this a boom period is delusional. If it were they'd run each market as much as they used to and still draw bigger crowds. Roman Reigns isn't a crossover star like John Cena was.
