>[Stardom] Maika: "I am the only one who can save Stardom".
>Maika of women's professional wrestling company Stardom has emerged as the organisation's saviour. The organisation has been hit by a major shake-up, with a change at the top and the highest title being vacated. Maika, who has both the World and Goddess titles in her sights, has declared that she will win the two titles by the end of the year and become the standard-bearer of the new Stardom. She also has her sights set on competing in the industry's biggest show of the year at the start of the year.
>Bushiroad Fight, which runs Stardom, will see President Katsuhiko Harada step down and Taro Okada take over as the new president on 1 December. In addition, Tam Nakano, with a left knee injury, and Natsupoi, with a cervical hernia, are unlikely to return before the end of the year, so Nakano's World title and the Goddess title held by Natsupoi & Saori Anou have been vacated.
>Commenting on the situation that has rocked the organisation, Maika said: 'I've felt a sense of crisis ever since we started starting tournaments without the Stardom name attached to them. With this, we completely lost the trust of the fans and the players, didn't we?"
>However, she sees it as an opportunity as she transitions to a new regime. 'I've never missed a match despite a gruelling schedule, and I've shown the best to the people who come to see me. I'm the only one who can save stardom now.
