>>17580645I didn't pick it up naturally. I did a bunch of tours in Afghanistan and Iraq and was bored out of my mind for the better part of a decade because of it. What I did have was a pencil or pen, a notepad, and a lot of times. I am almost good at drawing poppies specifically because that was the only thing I had to draw outside of rocks, dirt, and other grunts so I just kept drawing and redrawing over and over again. I must have gone through a dozen notepads before I finally drew a poppy flower that kinda looked like the one I saw in my head.
