>>6258330When your only rebuttal is that someone missed a word or made a typo, then you're conceding that you have nothing else to counter.
>>6258369I don't think that proves what you think it does. You can see the drop in the graph. Again, this is without direct coemption and with the show available on a channel in more homes. There is a big spike with Punk's return (which was to be expected) but then you can see the decline. So what's the excuse for these declines? If Phil is the mega draw you and others claim, that graph should be climbing - even more so since (as mentioned already) AEW is now in more houses and has no direct competition. Also, they're not having to do Covid shows where there was no audience and with a limited roster.
Look at the recent Rampage when he was going to make an announcement - still drew a pitiful rating of 450k I believe.
Yes, the average is indeed 700k and goes up and down around this point. Sometimes it's 800k, but the only times AEW has broken a million since the move to TBS has been when the focus was on AEW's original talents or TK promising a debut.
But here's a question. What were the ratings after DON, after Phil won the championship? Let's compare those numbers.
Post DoN Dynamite (TBS) - 969k (Phil)
Post FG Dynamite (TNT) - 984k (Hangman)
Keep in mind as well that DON is a higher profile show than Full Gear and AEW apparently had the ultra-hot angle with MJF. Now, if Phil is the draw you're claiming he is, why are his numbers less than Hangman? And on that subject, the episode of Dynamite where Phil fought MJF for the first time? It was the lowest-rated episode of Dynamite since its move to TBS.
