he's been with AEW for 5-6 months. in that period, he's had 4 "real" singles matches (eddie, dax, pac, claudio) the casino gauntlet, and a bunch of tags.
now look at the prior 5-6 months of him in NJPW. he had THREE singles matches (and only on very important shows), the rest were tags with tanahashi and ishii. the typical japanese style is to only go all out on PPV, which is essentially what he's done in AEW since he had his best match with PAC. anyone expecting him to have epic bangers every week is either disingenuous or a complete idiot
