>>5230659NJPW is just better overall. First of all, Inoki, who's the founder, is Japan's most popular and wrestler and biggest draw, so the Musketeers as his kouhais had that advantage. Secondly, Inoki as a booker and as a businessman knew how to present them during the wrestling boom of the 90's. He took full advantage of the boom, marketed them in different medias and saw the dimes raining. The Musketeers themselves were exceptional and not just any random wrestlers, Inoki handpicked them to carry his company and they did the job and more, especially Hashimoto who was Inoki's Strong Style successor and was the most beloved Musketeer. The result was them filling up the Tokyo Dome multiple times every year, drawing high ratings on the variety shows they appear on, moving mad merch and basically becoming superstars and transcending the wrestling business itself. And as you see today, Mutoh and Chono are featured on every kinds of media in Japan, whether it's tv shows, dramas, radio shows, magazines, movies, CMs, YouTube, you name them, you'll find their presence there. Actually almost all the wrestlers who have presence in the mainstream media today are NJPW guys. Like Choshu, Mutoh, Chono, Sasaki, Makabe and Tanahashi. When you think about it, it's all thanks to Inoki.
