Roma said that Powers complained to Arnold (Skaaland, a road agent at the time) and Roma told Powers that was a mistake because that was going to kill their push dead. He said the perpetrators weren’t Vince, but people Vince had surrounding him. Roma said that he saw people quit the company over the harassment but didn’t mention any specific names. He said it was a subject talked about among the wrestlers during that time period. Years ago, Barry Orton, when talking about the same subject, said somebody would talk about the subject in the dressing room nearly every day in that era. This isn’t the first time the Powers story was told and other wrestlers, including Shane Douglas and Marty Jannetty have told the exact same story. Of course with Jannetty, everything has to be taken with a grain of salt. Roma did not mention the name of the executive or executives. Powers himself has acknowledged the story. In an RF Video interview, he claimed he was offered “extra money” by an executive at the Holiday Inn in Toronto. He didn’t name the executive but did say it was for sexual favors and claimed he turned it down and told the executive that he’d rather be pumping gas on the Jersey Turnpike because he has to look himself in the mirror.
