I might be an autist, but I get very annoyed when someone describes a match as 'physical', or a wrestler as 'a physical competitor'. We, as viewers understand that means that the wrestler/s are working stiff. But what does it mean in kayfabe? All worked punches are meant to connect in kayfabe. The fact that Sheamus actually makes contact shouldn't be remarkable in-universe.
