MVP’s beef with Hulk Hogan continues, and this time, he’s not holding back in a new interview. The AEW star recently discussed his personal Mount Rushmore of wrestling and used the opportunity to take another jab at Hogan.
During his conversation with
BetIdeas.com, MVP was asked about his wrestling Mount Rushmore, a list of the most influential wrestlers of all time. MVP shared his opinion on Macho Man Randy Savage being a top pick but made it clear that Hulk Hogan would never make his list.
>“Oh man, I hate these hypotheticals. Because there are so many greats, you know? There are some people that I think should be on it. It’s a personal preference. It’s all a matter of taste. Would I say Macho Man should be on it, in my opinion? Absolutely, he should be on it.”Then, without any direct prompt, MVP brought up Hogan, making his stance clear on why he doesn’t respect the former WWE star.
>“There are many people that would make the case that Hulk Hogan should be on it… I think he’s disqualified in my opinion, because… he’s who he is. Self-admitted, unapologetic, so that’s that.”MVP’s statement refers to Hogan’s well-documented past racist remarks, which were made public in 2015. Since then, Hogan has faced heavy backlash, and while Eric Bischoff has downplayed the remarks as a one-time mistake, MVP is clear in his belief that Hogan has never truly apologized or taken full responsibility for his actions.
This comes after MVP’s recent social media video where he mocked Hogan for messing up Shelton Benjamin’s name. After Hogan’s awkward shoutout to Benjamin as “Benjamin Shelton,” MVP posted a video of him and Benjamin, laughing about the error. Benjamin responded angrily on Twitter, accusing Hogan of being insincere in his apologies and making it clear that he didn’t have any respect for Hogan after his past remarks.
