>My 9-year-old son has become my buddy to watch wrestling with. I try not to influence him on who to like but he picks up on the things I get excited about. It's what kids do. We regularly watch AEW and have watched most NJPW events since February. For a fan his age, the belt often makes the wrestler. So when he sees someone as champion, he has this understanding that they are worthy of being champion. Enter Jeff Cobb and Great-O-Khan. They were the IWGP Tag Team champs when we started watching NJPW. Also, add in the fact that we recently purchased Retromania Wrestling video game, where Jeff Cobb is a playable character. My son likes O-Khan, but Cobb is probably in his top 10 favorite wrestlers.

>I've seen this kid cheer Hangman Page on to his championship victory. I've seen this kid torn on who to root for as Jungle Boy and Rey Fenix were the final two competitors in a tag team battle royal. I've seen him start to understand the beauty of workrate as he watched Zack Sabre Jr vs Will Ospreay. All of that paled in comparison to the pop when Jeff Cobb and Great-O-Khan hit the ramp last night on Dynamite. He let out a completely unintelligible yell, with eyes wide open. And just smiled with his jaw dropped as the United Empire kicked ass. It was the most genuine elation from out of nowhere. Such a pure 'wrestling fan' surprise.

>It makes me happy to see him enjoying watching wrestling, getting caught up in the characters. I love it. Long live the United Empire.
