The last time we had good GM/Authority figures was like what, 7-10 years ago with HHH and Steph, and even then Steph ended up with Go Away Heat before that all ended. So people are ready for a real authority figure and not some feckless putz, or a goofball, or a fucking laptop...or nobody at all, let the wrestlers run the show.
He's shaping up to be the best authority figure since Vince McMahon himself. And before somebody says it, Teddy was a fun GM, he was good playa, but its not the same energy. Teddy was more like 'What if a fan got to run Smackdown?'. Nick Aldis, so far, feels like he's actually in charge and running the show. Which again is something WWE hasn't had for a very long time.
