Not many know this but the raven character is actually not named after the bird, but it is in fact derived from the character being insane - literally a 'raving maniac'. However, Scott Levy is from Philadelphia and people in parts of Philly have a peculiar accent so when they say words like 'raving' in comes out as "raven".
