you're honestly right. the sasha feud in nxt made it so she'd have to get a significant run on the main roster.
and her younger looks her cute for the hugger gimmick. it had a shelf life and other girls surpassed her in all categories, but bayley was already established so they just left her in her spot.
the heel turn helped put some life in her as well. way more than it would have for other women because bayley was the ultimate naive sweetheart.
