For the past decade, if anyone got too over, Vince would put them on a losing streak. If the crowd loved the wrestler, Vince would feed them to Roman. All Vince has done is make sure that Roman, a charisma vacuum is the top heel, because everyone hated him as a face. But, there have been no faces that can get more over than Roman's xpac heat. Vince could have easily used NXT to simply pick the next star, but instead, he decided to crash an burn his company because no one liked the decisions he was making. Somewhat admirable if you respect people who love control.
