Then it was originally gonna be held on the undercard, the IWGP HW match was the original main event, but on Dynamite MJF bitches at Tony Khan about he's the top star, he's the champ, he ought to be the main event on an AEW PPV, there's no way he'll settle for an undercard spot or payday. Threatens to show up on Smackdown and throw the belt in the bin. References Punk showng up in WWE and Tony not having the balls to do anything about it. Tony cucks and this underwhelming matchup becomes the main event.
Back to the PPV, MJF dominates. Thinks he's gonna win. Until...
