>The fact that he was over with the fans will always be a mystery. How can you cheer a juiced untalented fool? Hulk hogan got lucky that he made a name for himself in the "super hero era" where even the worst competitor could be liked just because of his charisma and pushed just because vince think he is MONEY. But i don't see any MONEY on hogan and his charisma entertains nobody (except kids). And as if it wasn't enough, he has that big golden shovel he used to bury everyone's legacy , and i noticed every single WCW storyline with a good beginning degenerated every time hogan was involved in (if you don't believe me , go watch the truth behind the nwo and the wcw's downfall). He used to be a source of inspiration but the more i learn about him, the less i like him.
>I mean this in the nicest of ways; some of the people who i know and talk to about wrestling are brainwashed thanks to guys like Hulk Hogan. They somehow, someway (well, one very concrete way) still favour Hogan because of the money he made for pro wrestling in the 1980's and somewhat in the 1990's as well. They talk about the money that Hogan made for WWF and WCW as if that means something important to the state of the world of wrestling today. Hogan may have been a draw but notice that he is no longer one today. He got the boots sandblasted off of him at that one Wrestlemania a year or two back. The live crowd booed his ass during his segments. Put aside all the personal stuff outside of wrestling and he is still a major asshole who did more for himself than he ever actually did for wrestling history. His biggest contribution to wrestling canon is a joke about being stubborn and refusing to lose at the expense of more talented people. No further indictment needed.
