TNA tried the same thing with BETTER and more WHITE HOT stars back in the day and they STILL couldn't compete with the fed. The only thing that AEW got that comes even close to any of TNA's signings was CM Punk. They snatched fucking white hot PRIME JEFF HARDY and PRIME KURT ANGLE and they still jobbed to the fed. RVD, Hulk Hogan, Sting, none of it made it even close to the fed.
When the general population thinks wrestling, they think WWE, they aren't looking for any alternatives. If WWE sucks they just stop watching altogether. This ain't WCW vs WWF Monday night wars era when plenty of people still thought this shit was real.
