I'm really looking forward to it, but I don't see any scenario where it somehow benefits AEW. Punk already went 0-2 in the UFC so nobody cares if he loses a fight irl. If he wasn't a threat, Tony looks like a geek and a dummy for firing their biggest draw because he "feared for his life". Not to mention that neither Punk or Perry work there currently, so it just looks silly to bring up what happened between two people that haven't been there for nearly a year. It just makes people interested in CM Punk, who is at WWE now. WWE won't fire him because of something he did in another company. If they're planning to bring back Perry, and Perry actually did get heemed by Punk, it just makes Perry look like a bitch. And if the segment does the biggest numbers of the show, it just makes the network wonder why this ratings draw was fired and is working in another company now. How does this benefit AEW?
