Rika once again with the most exciting and inspiring interview before a big TJPW event. Here's some of the stuff.
>Part 1: origins
"We have the same real name, so I'll be rooting for you all the way" When I said this to her the moment she appeared at the interview location, she said, "I'm so happy!" She was so happy. Her smile was like a sunflower, so dazzling that I thought once again "I really love Rika Tatsumi."
She had an interesting childhood: "I had two fathers". Her parents divorced when she was in the first grade of primary school; her mother remarried when she was in sixth grade; her second father sometimes raised his hand when he fought with Rika's mother. He was not interested in Rika and her two younger brothers and they did not get on well. When Tatsumi was in the third year of junior high school, her mom got divorced again.
During her three years of junior high school, she was a member of the volleyball club, but also fell in love with band music. One day, she realised that she fiercely liked songs that consisted of guitar, bass and drums.
In high school, she was a member of the light music club and played guitar. Formed a girls' band and did covers of THE BLUE HEARTS. There was a venue near high school and they performed there regularly.
She continued playing music as a hobby for three years. The members of the band had no major ambitions, and just as she was thinking that she would end up staying in her hometown forever, she stumbled across an audition for members of the entertainment group DPG. The application guidelines read. 'Wrestling with the world'. She auditioned, was accepted and moved to Tokyo.
