WWE literally just did the unthinkable and joined forces with UFC under the same umbrella. This hopefully will prompt a long needed blending or fusion of styles between pro wrestling and MMA. WWE's YouTube page is about 5 million subscribers shy of cracking a billion. New Japan is feeling the restraints of its cradle and is seeking and open to cracking into the United States. China is very slowly beginning to entertain its own wrestling scene. The untapped in to market of India is definitely par for the course eventually. Bollywood wrestling would be an absolute sight to behold and every show would be sold out to the gills. The boom periods of the 80's and 90's captured the world by storm with the advent of cable television and national expansion, and the competiton of not only another large promotion but for eyeballs seeing as to how Seinfeld, Jerry Springer, Friends, Cops, Home Improvement, E.R., Roseanne, and other titantic heavyweights of culture and staples of television were on at that time as well. Now with more entertainment options available, the money is still coming in. And on top of that, it has probably never been more easier now more than ever to purchase your own professional wrestling ring, buy a few good belts, and start your own promotion provided you are able to find a palce to promote and people willing to learn to bounce around in a ring. You can make money for yourself and bring wrestling back to its roots to how it all started; entertaining sideshows for the lower class.
