>Saya Kamitani (27), the “phoenix that fell into the darkness” of the women’s professional wrestling organization Stardom, has made some bold statements to the New Japan Pro-Wrestling ranks.
>Following her first victory at this summer's WAVE league event "CATCH THE WAVE," she challenged Regina champion Yuuki Miyazaki at the WAVE Korakuen event on the 4th. She successfully took the belt. "I think everyone was intimidated by me after watching today's match. I'm a member of Stardom, so I'm going to shake up WAVE," she spat out.
>Although she is a talented wrestler who has defended Stardom's Wonder throne 15 times, this is her first time to be crowned as a single champion of another organization. "It feels good to wear a single belt because it's proof that I've reached the top. I got a lot of booing today, and it seems that the servants of WAVE have already become my captives. I'm going to entertain you from here on out," she said with a loud laugh.
>While they continue to invade other organizations, they also have something to look forward to. They will be participating in a mixed match at a joint event with New Japan (17th, Edion Arena Osaka). They will team up with Natsuko Tora from the same "HATE" group, and Gabe Kidd and Drilla Moloney from New Japan's "Bullet Club War Dogs," to face Hiroshi Tanahashi, Ryusuke Taguchi, Hanan, and Saya Iida.
>"When the number one New Japan unit and us, the number one in Stardom, come together, there's nothing to fear.We have a lot of weapons," boasts Kamitani, and immediately begins her verbal attack on the opposing male wrestlers.
