There's a Road Warriors/Demolition tag angle going based on the former keeping the latter from keeping the tag titles and everyone else is just there because Demolition has an extra member to cover for health issues, the other good guys all are or have formerly been called some form of warrior, and they liked putting the heavyweight and IC title feuds together in big tag matches.
