See unlike Cornette who is a real life asshole by many accounts that buries talent on his own podcast but a consummate professional on tv when he was active, Lambert didn't really have a good filter on what to say on tv so he was way too into burying his mic opponents harder than Cena, and that's not really a good overall result for the show as a whole that a 50-60 year old man eviscerates, dismembers and guts the in ring talent you are trying to build
But is in post-AEW interviews I've seen he comes off as an OK dude that was genuinely passionate about working with AEW and the talent thinking he was doing the job he was asked to, probably because nobody was smart enough to direct him to do a better job in putting people over on mic.
What I'm trying to say is that while it was strong heat and good talking, you can't really put him on the level of Cornette as a manager/talker because by the end of a Cornette promo, while he was working, someone was being put over as a badass.
