>>14584274Heavily faction focused, so unit warfare is a big thing in Dragongate and units come and go quickly compared to other puro promotions. The average lifespan of a unit is probably around 2-3 years before it is killed off.
There is still a focus on the titles, since units and multiman matches are such a focus the tag/trios belts are more prestigious than other puro companies.
You've got 4 (5) titles in the promotion with their individual lore/feel:
>Open the Dream Gate title: Top singles title. The name of the champion is engraved onto a plate, which is then placed on the face of the belt and protected by a locked gate. For a competitor to be a challenger for the title, he must secure a Challenger's Key. If the champion successfully defends the title, the loser's key is added to the belt as a trophy. If the challenger wins the title, the key will unlock the gate, allowing him to replace the old nameplate with his own. Current champion is Luis Mante.>Open the Twin Gate titles: The Tag belts, arguably the second most important titles in the promotion. Current champions are Naruki Doi & Dragon Kid.>Open the Brave Gate title: Dragongate's Junior title. Since DG is filled with smaller wrestlers the weight limit is 181 lbs as opposed most puro Jr. title's 220 lbs weight limit. Current champion is HYO.>Open the Triangle Gate titles: Trios title. The title belts are adorned with emblems for three principles: Physical, Heart, and Skill. only the perfect trio embodies all these attributes. Current champions are Strong Machine J, BIGBOSS Shimizu & U-T.>Open the Owarai Gate title: Sometimes broken out. Championship is awarded not based on the match results, but rather of the performance of the competitors. Once the actual match was finished, the audience votes on who amused them the best. Current champion is Lingerie Muto.
