--What made you decide to become a professional wrestler?
>"I was affiliated with a talent agency from the age of three and even worked as an idol. But I was scouted to become a professional wrestler. At first, I didn't know anything about professional wrestling so I turned it down. Before I became a wrestler, professional wrestling brought to mind images of Jaguar Yokota and Hokuto Akira. But when I saw a Stardom match, I thought everyone was sparkling, from their entrances to their costumes, and I thought they were cute and pretty. I had always wanted to work in the entertainment industry where I could be seen by everyone, but in professional wrestling, thousands of spectators are concentrated in 360 degrees around the ring, watching just one or two people in the ring. I found that enviable and wanted to be on that side too."
--You were born and raised in Tsuzuki Ward. What memories do you have of yourself?
>"I've been devoted to baton twirling since I was a child, and I did it for 12 years. Every morning, I'd run around Center-Minami Station with my dad, and when I was worried, I'd run by myself. I went to the area around Center-Minami Station the other day, and it was fun to see the new shops and buildings. I still go back to my parents' house two or three times a month. My family is very close, and the other day we had a takoyaki party."
--You can really see how close you are.
>"Actually, my older sister was scouted first, and later my younger sister became a professional wrestler (laughs). My family always comes to support me when I have a big match. However, my best friend has never come to see me, and when I asked him why, he said he was scared to see me being beaten. It's my 10th anniversary since my debut, so I'd like him to come and see me at least once."
