>>12571149old bethesda games let you wander around and find stuff. starfield doesnt because the only actual towns/cities they made are marked outright on the star map and you know where you're going before you get there. if you just wander around on a planet and walk in a direction you're going to find re-used buildings with 0 variation, even the enemies and loot stay the same. there's very VERY little content to stumble on in this game. you pick the town you want to go to from a list and you're guaranteed that's the only thing of substance you're going to find in that zone. in FO you might find a vault with some cool gimmick inside it like the one where you go into the 50's VR thing or you could find a robot vault or something. in starfield you can only find the same research stations/mining outposts/etc over and over and over again with no story or unique loot to make it worth looking at.
