Overall this match was very back-and-forth with no long period where either wrestler maintained control. Noa was given the start and other moments to Shine throughout the match, while Shida's veteran status causes her to slip into the role as defacto heel, able to use her size to reassert herself. The story was focused around Noa: with her attempt to put herself on Shida's level and trade hardcore strikes possibly sabotaging her one real chance to win.
The level of seethe this match caused really doesn't make much sense to me. The idea that Shida "big-leagued" Noa is incompatible with Noa having half the offense in the match, having Shida screaming in a submission, or having Noa actually hit her finisher only for injury to prevent a timely pin. A big-leaguing would generally involve the finisher either never being hit or kicked out of without provisos, and the submission danger barely sold.
