>>6828938The title itself is a dog shit, and speaks volumes of how TK doesn't know how to use the organic changes to his advantage or build tension in the long run. Vacancy left by Punks injury was a perfect opportunity to either :
> 1. hold a longer tournament for the belt- instead it was over and done so that someone can hold a belt and there is a champ, a intern type champ, on show
> 2. Use said tournament to juggle belt on weeks through outside interference if you don't want give it anyone- until Punk returns and pulls out some contract shenanigans to get title shot and win the title again for pops
>3. Use the time you don't have clear champ to push up the plethora of other titles you have that hold no meaning- and highlight your undercard
>4. Push an unlikely talent into an "underserved" title run by cheating or straight up build a new star.- Imagine if they didn't fuck up MJF and he'd stolen the championship by using a foreign object and working the audience. Would work with any other heel too.
Even if you had Mox as the main guy for some god forsaken reason, you could have gotten the same matches without adding an champ belt with an asterisk on it.
>Champ* (*limited time, only a temporary belt, warranty may be voided if CM Punk returns)It's not about the console war on this, it's sad that they don't build up more and elevate themselves. The guys I like in AEW are getting shafted by this "Booker of the year" throwing away opportunities because he doesn't see the big picture at all in the storytelling.
