I thought it was fitting relative to his physical shape and on-screen role as the RAW GM- he had the shield match which was awesome, the hunter and Steph tag match with Rousey (another classic.)- the smackdown vs raw “under siege” survivor series, he also had some good bouts with Joe and Drew on RAW and was clearly being set up to be retired by Jason Jordan in a great storyline that was nixed due to his sudden neck injury. The narrative that Vince was out to get him and had him lose to Corbin as revenge for TNA is clearly bullshit with 2 minutes of critical thinking.
