>>14955912A good diet goes a long way (protein, fiber, vegetables), along with multi-vitamins, joint supplements and digestive aids (necessary whether you lift or not). For lifting-specific supplements, I never saw much results for anything other than caffeine/pre-workout, ZMA, D-Aspartic Acid and Creatine. Lots of water and at least one large bottle of BodyArmor.
I used to have a cupboard full of Greens/Antioxidants, Beta Alanine, L-Arginine, so much crap. I'd wake up and have a liquid drink with a bunch of powders, then a handful of like 10 pills (Maca, Ashwaganda, Tribulus, all kinds of shit). These days it's just creatine + energy drink + bodyarmor, and the rest will take care of itself.
>>14955946I was stuck in the middle between powerlifter and bodybuilder, but never officially competed in either. My day job was labor-intensive so I was basically doing 70-100 BPM cardio for hours every day, making it much easier to get my daily junk food fix without packing on the fat.
Most people with a desk job or in school can't effectively "work out" for 35 hours a week. Most athletes, whose only job is eating right and working out, can't even commit to 35 hours and strike the right balance (not too hard, not too soft). But if I can put on muscle/strength in my 30s and the strongest pills I use are some TestoMax5000 Vitamin Store placebo crap, then younger people with much higher test can do it.
Your social life will suffer. Your overall energy level will suffer. You have to cut out drinking/smoking and limit cheat meals. But it can be done..........or you can keep all that stuff, stock up on Viagra/Cialis and buy some 'peptides' from an online pharmacy in Belarus. I won't judge ya, as long as you leave other people out of it and admit you made a personal decision!
