I don't think it's controversial to say indie wrestlers aren't developing themselves the same way guys did 20 years ago. There are no Bryan Danielsons, Samoa Joes, or even Ricky Reyeses to scoop up. Which means without signing WWE trained talent AEW is fucked.
If Tony was smart, he'd either invest heavily into talent development or release everyone under 30 and hope WWE spends millions developing then rehire them when they're TV ready.
