i know it was on thursdays briefly in the past (and also tuesdays as well)
i would think thursday is a more natural fit for smackdown because it won't lose any viewers from being on a friday night (people going out) and also sometimes things that are twice weekly schedules are on monday/thursday usually as opposed to monday/friday
