They also hate it when people are able to suspend their disbelief and get invested in what they're watching, so they constantly break the 4th wall and intentionally remind viewers that everything they're seeing is fake. Everything they do is dropping with irony. They wrestle entirely to pop themselves and their friends, and they hold AEW back on purpose because they want it to be their little personal clubhouse. They started a fight with Punk and ultimately drove him away because Punk wanted AEW to produce better shows and thrive as a company. Their "victory" over Punk caused a mass exodus of fans, plummeting AEW's ratings from 900k to a milly down to the miserable 500k to 600k of today. They're unintentionally doing WWE's work for them by kneecapping AEW at every turn.
