>【NOAH】 Kenoh & Naomichi Marufuji capture the GHC Tag Titles
>Name BUSHI & X as next challengers: “X… it’s gotta be him…”
>At NOAH’s Nagoya show on the 13th, the GHC Tag Team Championship saw the challengers, the team of Naomichi Marufuji (46) and Kenoh (40), defeat the champions Masa Kitamiya (37) & Takashi Sugiura (55) to become the 75th titleholders.
>With Sugiura isolated, Kenoh and Marufuji simultaneously unleashed the “Shubo” kick and a thrust kick. Kenoh then climbed the corner to go for the PFS (diving double foot stomp). However, this was cut off by TEAM 2000 X second Yoshitatsu, throwing the ring into complete chaos. Sugiura fired back with a superplex, and Kenoh took massive damage from an Olympic Qualifying Slam.
>Sugiura then went to attack Kenoh with a chair, but when Kenoh dodged, Marufuji turned the tide with a barrage of strikes starting with the Tiger King (Ko-oh). After Marufuji nailed the Shubo with a chair set up, the end came when Kenoh’s PFF was combined with Marufuji’s neck twist, a double-team finisher that kept their opponent down for the three-count.
>A shocking development awaited after the match in the ring. Grabbing the mic, Kenoh said: “There’s something I’ve been thinking about *a hell of a lot*. Our next challengers will be at the 1/1 Nippon Budokan. I’m going to name them right now: BUSHI and X! Hey, this is a call-out from the champions.” He demanded their first defense be against the Los Tranquilos de Japon (LTJ) team of BUSHI & X, whose participation at the January 1 Nippon Budokan show had just been announced.
