Paul Heyman didn't pay his talent properly or on time and pulled loads of jewish scumbag shit on people. Even went so far as to steal money from WCW by refunding plane tickets he didn't use. So was seen as a shyster who ruined his reputation. Nobody could trust him.
So rather than fight or argue this he embraced this as part of his character on TV and in real-life. So rather than people thinking "That piece of shit Paul Heyman. Fuck him" they instead think "Hahaha that's our Heyman!". He turned actually really horrible nasty shit that he's done to people and been caught out on into something that seems harmless and can be overlooked as just 'paul being paul'.
