After the Green Bay Packers won the Super Bowl, Aaron Rodgers did a bunch of appearances with the World Heavyweight Championship belt, and bought replica belts for the entire team. Vince was upset it wasn't the WWE Championship (the Spinner belt at the time with the big WWE logo on the center plate).
It's definitely not a coincidence the WWE belt was redesigned a few years later with an even bigger WWE logo, and WHC was unified with it and retired later that same year. Plus now WWE sends every sports team that wins a Super Bowl, World Series, NBA Finals, etc a replica WWE Championship with custom side plates, hoping they'll use it in public appearances, but they rarely ever do.
