>>7459930Zainichi-Koreans can't lead a normal life in Japan without concealing their roots, hence why they seek careers in other industries and businesses like sports (not just combat sports), showbiz (there are lots of Zainichi-Korean actors, comedians and tarento) and the yakuza (the underworld is full of Zainichi-Koreans).
When we talk about influential legends, they're not just in wrestling but also in primetime TV and cinema, like Matsuda Yusaku, the legendary Japanese action actor and the legendary TV personality and host Wada Akiko, often referred to as the God Nehsan (God Big Sister, as opposed to Godfather) or the Jotei (Female Emperor) of the Japanese entertainment business. And despite the discrimination the Zainichi-Koreans might face irl, although I don't think it's widespread in today's Japan, these celebs are literally worshiped by most Japanese.
