>Kyoko Hamaguchi’s “wavering woman’s heart” — her favorite EVIL faces Wolf Aron on 1/4… and Animal Hamaguchi gives a shocking “run-in order”!
>Kyoko Hamaguchi (47), who won bronze medals at two Olympic Games in wrestling, continues her popular column “Kiai de GO!” This time she focuses on Wolf Aron (29), the Tokyo 2021 Olympic men’s judo -100 kg gold medalist who will make his pro wrestling debut on January 4. As she cheers on a fellow Olympian, she also can’t hide her feelings for EVIL —who will welcome this major rookie. Olympic medalist or villain? Where will her wavering heart land…?
>[Kyoko Hamaguchi — Kiai de GO!] Hello, everyone~! It’s already the end of the year before you know it. Pro wrestling has so many talked-about matches too. The other day, at a certain dinner gathering, we got really fired up talking about Showa-era pro wrestling. We played the entrance themes of wrestlers from my dad’s era and did impressions. Pro wrestling talk really gets people going.
>Now then—on January 4 next year, Olympic judo gold medalist Wolf Aron will debut. I’m excited~. After last year’s Paris Olympics, we were together at a TV station studio. Wolf had just returned from Paris, and when I greeted him he was so big that I remember thinking, “If he got a hold of me in wrestling, I wouldn’t stand a chance.” If I had to compare him to something, he’s like the Incredible Hulk. He had both that intimidating aura and presence.
>We were also together recently on “Odoru! Sanma Goten!!” (Nippon TV). He had his hair slicked back, and he looked even wilder. He’s a funny guy—unpretentious and not trying to act cool. I wondered what kind of training he’s doing for pro wrestling, and when I looked at his muscles I was shocked by how his thighs bulge when he sits down. His pecs were clearly trained too even through a T-shirt, but those thighs—no surprise. With the legs and hips he built through judo, I think he’s getting even stronger.
