As brutal as it was, Vince's culling of NXT was necessary. Too many indie shitters were signed just so NJPW/ROH/Impact/Lucha Underground/World of Sport couldn't have them.
The only ones who survived the culling were genuinely good athletes who got a clue and knew what Vince liked. People like Gunther and Rhea.
Vince's problem was that he was an insane man with zero patiencde who gave everyone a "one strike and you're out" chance to get over. And he jokes were corny.
But he understands that the masses want spectacle. Not workrate. If you want flips, get some luchadores with cool masks and let them have a car crash for 7 minutes
