Choshu's feuds with Inoki whenever he left the company always happened in public. NJPW TV would literally ambush Choshu coming out of his car on Inoki's orders and confront him about World Japan and shit, it's kind of wild how they used to do things.
They've buttoned it up a bit but traditionally, this is how they shoot: under the pretense of kayfabe. It's all presented like kayfabe, even the shoot behind the scenes shit.
